Doodle Break Reset
Doodle Break Reset
Drawing, even just a little bit, can reset ones nervous system. “Drawing can help shift attention away from stressful thoughts and encourage activation of the parasympathetic nervous system, sometimes called the ‘rest and digest’ system,” said Soma Sengupta*, neurologist in chief at Tufts Medical Center. It slows the heart rate, reduces muscle tension, and helps the body return to a calmer state.
* Quoted in “How 10 minutes of drawing can reset your nervous system,” The Washington Post, Aug. 13, 2026.
This is not an “art class” so much as a series of guided doodling sessions designed to help you calm your nerves at the end of the week and reset your mind and body.
